Where stars are made and titles won. The British Gravel Championships are the ultimate test of skill, endurance, perseverance to crown the country’s best gravel racers across Elite, Junior and Masters categories in both the Gravel Race & Time Trial.
For 2025, the Championships heads to North Yorkshire as the country’s best gravel racers take to the gravel tracks of Dalby Forest on the edge of the North York Moors National Park.
An action-packed weekend of racing awaits with just as much action off the bike in the Event Village (featuring food, drinks, music, entertainment, expo, camping and much more)!

But it’s not just about the racing—there’s something for everyone! Enjoy live music, great food and drink, kids' activities, panel talks, shakeout rides, and an exciting expo and demo village. Dalby Forest – The Perfect Stage for the British Gravel Championships
Nestled in the heart of North Yorkshire, Dalby Forest is a premier destination for outdoor adventure and set to be an iconic venue for gravel cycling. With a rich sporting heritage, Dalby has hosted world-class events, including a round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in 2010 and 2011, showcasing its technical and demanding trails on the global stage. In 2015, the forest's challenging climbs featured in the opening stage of the Tour de Yorkshire, further cementing its reputation as a top-tier cycling destination.
Additionally, Dalby’s Dark Sky Reserve status makes it a prime location for stargazing, attracting local and national astronomical societies to experience its clear night skies.

Elite Championship Races
The Elite Races will crown both men’s and women’s British Gravel Champions.
Date & Time: Sunday, 14 September 2025 (Elite Men @ 09:00, Elite Women @ 13:00).
Route & Race distance: 120km with 2000m of climbing through Dalby Forest (on a 30km lap).
Eligibility: Open to all ages 19 or older*
Nationality: Riders from any nationality may compete but only British passport holders are eligible to win the British Gravel Championship jersey.
A separate Masters Championship will feature racing across all masters age and Junior categories, with British Gravel Masters Championship jerseys on offer in each. Keep scrolling to find out more about the Masters Championship.

Masters Championship Race
The Masters Gravel Race (Men’s & Women’s race) and the Junior Championships are the perfect challenge for those looking to take on their fellow age-group competitors. With British Gravel Master’s and Junior Champions jerseys on offer in all age categories, this is your chance to show your gravel racing prowess.
Date & Time: Saturday, 13 September 2025 from 10:00.
Route & Race distance: 120km and 2000m of climbing (same route/distance as Elite Races) through Dalby Forest (on a 30km lap).
Eligibility: Open to riders aged 16 and older on event day*
Nationality: Riders from any nationality may compete but only British passport holders are eligible to win the British Gravel Championship jersey.
*Age group determined by riders age on 31 December 2025.
TIME TRIAL
The Time Trial is a brand-new addition to the British Gravel Championships weekend. A thrilling challenge for those aiming for a National Champions jersey or those simply looking for an exciting new challenge. Categories will include Elite, Junior and all Masters age groups (19-34, 35-39, etc.) with podiums, Champions jerseys and medals on offer in all age categories.
Date & Time: Friday, 12 September 2025 from 15:00.
Route & Race distance: 16.1km and 195m of climbing through Dalby Forest.
Eligibility: Open to riders aged 19 and older*
Nationality: Riders from any nationality may compete but only British passport holders are eligible to win the British Gravel Championship (Time Trial) jersey.
*Age group determined by riders age on 31 December 2025.
