THRILLING RACING FOR THE AGES
Where stars are made and titles won. The British Gravel Championships are the ultimate test of skill, endurance, perseverance to crown the country’s best gravel racers across Elite, Junior and Masters categories.
For the first time in its history, the Championships will make their way to Scotland as the country’s best gravel racers take to the trails of the Galloway Forest Park.
Hosted at raiders gravel
The 2024 British Gravel Championships race was hosted as part of the second stage at Raiders Gravel.
Raiders Gravel is a multi-day gravel racing event in the Galloway Forest Park in South-West Scotland with an atmosphere like no other. During the day you ride some of the world’s best gravel trails through one of Britain’s most beautiful areas. In the evening you can rest and recover in a place where strangers become friends and where there’s a one-of-a-kind combination of entertainment, food, drink, activations, shakeout rides and much more.
Competitors entering Raiders Gravel received a complimentary entry to the British Gravel Championships race on Saturday, 31 August 2024.
location
Based in Scotland’s South-West, the British Gravel Championships start and finish in the small town of Gatehouse of Fleet, in Dumfries and Galloway.
We’re in the heart of one of Scotland’s most beautiful areas, to the south is the picturesque coast of the Solway Firth, and to the north are the Galloway Hills. It is in these hills the racing takes place.
The area is part of both the Galloway Forest Park and the internationally recognised Galloway and Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere. So unspoilt and unpopulated is the area that in 2009 it was designated as one of the first ever Dark Sky Parks, the first in the UK.
