Travel by Car

Dedicated event parking for participants will be available in Gatehouse of Fleet.

The town is a few hundred metres from the main A75 main road, halfway between the English city of Carlisle 100km (60 miles)) and Stranraer, on Scotland’s far south-western tip.

Dumfries is 50km (30 miles) to the east and Glasgow 170km (106 miles) north.

Travel by public transport

There is no train service to Gatehouse of Fleet. The nearest railway station is Dumfries, 50km (30 miles) to the east. You can drive in Dumfries from Carlisle - on the main UK West Coast Main line - or from many Scottish stations further north.

If you’re arriving in Scotland from outside mainland Britain you have two options; ferry and plane.

Travel by Ship

From Ireland:
The ferry port of Cairnryan in the west of Dumfires and Gallow is just over an hour from Gatehouse of Fleet. The regular ferries sail from and to Belfast and Larne in N. Ireland. Newcastle Upon Tyne
